omtrek Journal
About This Publication

A Record of the Process.

omtrek Journal operates under a defined set of editorial principles. The following describes how articles are selected, written, reviewed, and published. These standards exist to ensure the publication maintains a consistent standard of accuracy and transparency.

01 — Foundation

What the Publication Covers

omtrek Journal is an independent editorial publication exploring everyday supplementation habits, nutritional awareness, and active lifestyle choices for men. The publication is not affiliated with any commercial, governmental, or institutional body.

Coverage spans the broad category of men's daily nutritional habits: the role of individual vitamins and minerals, supplement stacking patterns observed among active men, and the relationship between whole-food nutrition and supplementation as a complement to daily intake.

The publication does not cover niche performance biochemistry, extreme physical conditioning regimens, or specialist dietary intervention. The editorial lens is focused on the everyday — on habits that the majority of active men encounter in the course of a regular week.

02 — Process

From Observation to Publication.

01

Topic Identification

Article ideas originate from published nutritional research, observed patterns in men's supplementation routines, and reader correspondence. Topics are evaluated against the publication's editorial scope before assignment.

02

Research & Drafting

Writers draw from published nutritional research and documented supplementation patterns. Where peer-reviewed literature exists, it is cited. Where it does not, the editorial stance is clearly framed as observation rather than instruction.

03

Second-Editor Review

Every article is reviewed by a second editor before publication. This review addresses factual accuracy, adherence to the publication's vocabulary standards, and the clarity of sourcing. Articles that require correction are returned to the writer.

04

Publication & Archiving

Approved articles are published with a dateline and author attribution. Post-publication corrections are appended as footnotes with the date of amendment. The publication maintains an archive of all corrections issued since January 2026.

03 — Sources

How Sources Are Evaluated.

Content published by omtrek Journal is selected based on published nutritional research and reviewed for editorial accuracy by a second editor before publication.

Writers are required to identify the origin of any claim that goes beyond general nutritional awareness. Unverifiable assertions are either qualified with explicit hedging language or removed from the draft during the review stage. The publication does not publish claims that cannot be traced to an independent, identifiable source.

Accepted Source Categories
  • Peer-reviewed nutritional journals (PubMed-indexed where available)
  • Published government nutritional guidelines (national food agencies)
  • Registered nutrition organisations' published position papers
  • First-person observation clearly framed as editorial perspective
Not Accepted
  • Supplement brand marketing materials as source
  • Unattributed forum posts or user review aggregates
  • AI-generated summaries without primary source verification
  • Anecdotal social media content presented as evidence
04 — Corrections

Accuracy Policy.

omtrek Journal operates under the following editorial principles: articles are reviewed by at least one second editor before publication, sources are cited where appropriate, corrections are noted publicly, and writers disclose any commercial relationships that could influence their selection of subject matter.

When an error is identified — whether by a reader, the writer, or the editorial team — the following steps are taken: the original passage is amended, a correction notice is appended to the article noting the original wording and the date of correction, and the correction is logged in the publication's internal corrections register.

Corrections are not silently applied. The publication does not delete or unpublish articles in response to factual errors unless the entirety of the piece cannot be corrected without misleading readers.

Disclosure Policy.

Writers contributing to omtrek Journal are required to declare any commercial relationship with a brand, product, or organisation relevant to the article subject matter. This includes affiliate arrangements, sponsored engagements, and professional relationships with supplement producers.

Where a declared relationship exists, it is noted at the foot of the article in the author attribution block. The editorial team reserves the right to reassign a topic to an undeclared writer if the relationship presents a conflict of interest too significant to mitigate through disclosure alone.

The publication accepts no payment for editorial placements. Affiliate links, where present, are labelled. No article is written or shaped in exchange for product access, advertising spend, or any other commercial consideration.

05 — Scope of Content

What This Publication Is.

Articles published on omtrek Journal are editorial in nature and reflect the writers' observations on everyday supplementation habits and nutritional awareness for active men. The content is not intended as professional advice, nor as guidance for the management of any specific condition. Readers with specific concerns about their daily routines are encouraged to speak with a qualified wellness professional.

The publication's scope is explicitly that of a journal of observation. Articles describe patterns, review published nutritional research, and offer editorial perspective. They do not constitute personal recommendations, and no article should be read as an instruction to adopt any specific habit without prior consideration of individual circumstances.

We recommend speaking with a qualified wellness or nutrition professional before introducing any new habit or routine to your daily life, particularly if you have specific dietary requirements.

06 — FAQ

Common Questions.

Yes. omtrek Journal reviews pitches from writers with demonstrable experience covering men's nutritional habits, supplementation patterns, or active lifestyle routines. Pitches should include a proposed angle, a brief description of the intended source base, and the writer's relevant background. Submissions are reviewed on a rolling basis.

The editorial team aims to review reported corrections within five working days of receipt. If the reported error is verified, the correction is applied and noted within a further two working days. Complex corrections that require research may take longer; in such cases, the publication adds a provisional notice to the article while the review is underway.

Occasionally, the editorial team produces shorter pieces — typically summaries of recently published research, corrections notices, or updates to previously published content. These are attributed to the publication rather than to an individual writer and are labelled accordingly within the article.

The primary editorial focus is on nutrients, habits, and routines rather than branded products. When branded products are referenced, they are treated as illustrative examples rather than the subject of a recommendation. No product review is conducted without a clear editorial rationale, and no product receives coverage in exchange for commercial consideration.

Where affiliate links appear within content, they are clearly labelled. The presence of an affiliate arrangement does not influence the editorial selection of that product or the framing of the article in which it appears. Editorial decisions are made independently of affiliate relationships.
